This is a sequel to the Dangerous Book for Boys and follows a similar format. At first glance you might think this a reprint of of a book intended for boys back in the 1950’s or earlier. In fact this book is from 2019. Also don’t let the “for boys” section fool you into thinking this is a book only boys would enjoy.
Covering a wide range of topics from lock-picking to ancient Greece there is bound to be something of interest to almost anyone who picks up this book. Each topic is well explained without becoming overly lengthy and dull. The range of topics also helps keep a readers interest as you jump from Rubik’s cubes to chess openings.
The illustrations are informative to each topic while giving a timeless value to the information. From showing examples of antique coins to full color drawings of military ranks. Among the great illustrations are also pictures of famous artwork and historic locations.
If you’re looking for a book for a curious child then this or any of the other books in the Dangerous set is a strong recommend.
